nt4kids.org is Hiring a Medical Billing Specialist (FT) Near Canby, OR
Location: Canby, Oregon.
Compensation: $21.00/hour.
- Major Medical, Dental, and Vision.

- Create and review patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtain any missing information.
- Prepare, review, and transmit claims using Fusion Web Clinic and ChARM, & TherapyNotes including electronic and paper claim processing.
- Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe.
- Check Medicaid, MVA and private insurance payments for accuracy and compliance with contract discount.
- Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments, if necessary.
- Research and appeal denied claims.
- Answer all patient or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts.
- Set up patient payment plans, write past due correspondence and work collection accounts.
- Post payments to accounts from insurance and patients with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Check eligibility and benefits verification for treatments & evaluations.
- Process and prepare bank deposits.
- Create, maintain and track monthly financial reports and progress.
- Prepare and send out patient statements.
- Add all eligible discounts and fees to a client’s account.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Be proactive.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to meet deadlines.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Google Chrome, scanning, internet and email.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 2-3 years of medical billing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 preferred.
