NSD NEWCO is Hiring a HR Operations Specialist Near Boca Raton, FL

Position Summary: Responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR management in supporting all areas of human resources. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, onboarding, recruitment/employment, performance reviews, employee recognition and unemployment. Provides administrative support to the Human Resources department. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinates and conducts New Hire Orientations at Corporate Office
  • Handles the new hire On-Boarding process. 
  • Process personnel changes in the HRIS system, intranet and employee record.
  • Distributes and monitors employee 90-day performance evaluations and ensures they are completed in a timely manner. 
  • Assist HR Manager with unemployment responses.
  • Perform benefits administration to include:
  • Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans.? 
  • Reconciling the benefits statements, 
  • Approving invoices for payment, and 
  • Communicating benefit information to employees. 
  • Compile and maintain benefits records and documents. 
  • Create benefit packages. 
  • Benefit Audits 
  • Assist HR Manager with 401K, Benefits, Open Enrollments
  • Maintain Section 125 and I9 files current. 
  • Manage Background /Drug Testing Results
  • Coordinates Welcome NSOP activities. 
  • Process employee NSOP request
  • Updating?the department’s Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process (non-exempt positions): screen resumes, defines applicant requirements by studying job description and qualifications. Phone screen candidates to compare qualifications to job requirements.? Interview candidates. 
  • May be cross trained to other HR functions to assist when needed for peak volumes.
  • Performs clerical functions including but not limited to filing, copying, and shredding.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Minimum of Four (4) years of progressive experience in the HR field, OR 
  • Similar combination of education and experience. 

Knowledge and Skills: 

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position. 

  • Strong knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resource administration, effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Must maintain highest level of Confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all staff levels from entry through executives.
  • Strong Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). KRONOS a plus.
  • Must be a hands-on professional with the ability to multi-task and follow through on all issues, projects, etc. 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and take initiative to research variances and correct 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret detailed documents. 
  • Knowledge of applicable federal/state statutes and regulations 
  • Ability to recognize what needs to be done, prioritize activities accordingly and meet deadlines. Must be flexible and able to change with new information. 

Hours Required:

Average 40 to 45-hour work week: occasional evenings and weekends may be required
