**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Controller with a background in construction, manufacturing, or audit preparation to join our team as a Controller - Construction. As a leading consulting firm specialized in financial and accounting services for the construction industry, we are dedicated to providing expert financial guidance and solutions to our clients. In this role, you will act as an outsourced controller for our clients, overseeing and managing their accounting functions, while also providing strategic financial advice to help improve profitability and performance.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience as a controller or senior accountant, preferably in the construction, manufacturing, or audit preparation industries
- In-depth knowledge of construction accounting principles, standards, and regulations, such as GAAP, IFRS, and FAR
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Oracle
- Experience with project accounting, cost accounting, and job costing
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed
**Responsibilities:**
- Oversee and manage the accounting functions for clients in the construction, manufacturing, or audit preparation industries
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in financial reporting and analysis
- Provide strategic financial advice and insights to clients, helping them improve profitability and performance
- Collaborate with clients to develop and implement budgeting, forecasting, and risk management strategies
- Support clients with compliance, tax, and auditing requirements
- Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline processes and drive efficiency
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction accounting
