NOW CFO is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to permanently join our client who specializes in agriculture. The Senior Accountant will oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting department, including general ledgers, financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent analytical skills, the ability to lead a team and hit the ground running.

• Earn between $90K - $100K.
• This role is onsite in Oregon City, OR.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
• Maintaining and entering data into the General ledgers daily. Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
• Oversees Accounts Payable as well as Accounts Receivable
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies
• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
• Supervise and train accounting staff
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
• Conduct regular audits to identify areas of improvement and address any discrepancies
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
• Stay current with accounting regulations and trends

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and general ledgers, including managerial experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial analysis
• High proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience handling month end close
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams
