Novelis North America HQ is Hiring a Sr Metal Procurement Analyst Near Atlanta, GA

Position Overview: 

This role will be responsible for the data analysis and scenario modeling to provide optimized BOMs by plant and tollers to the Sr Mgr BOM Optimization & Director metal planning. The role will also help identify value capture opportunities within the scrap flow network. The role will provide dashboards with flow of metal and volume of inventory by location in order to provide transparency and real time data to the teams. The role will actively help deploy any new planning software.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide optimized BOMs per location in collaboration with the facility planning leads and the metal S&OP team with efficient allocation of RAS. Include market availability and pricing within optimal BOMs which will require strong collaboration with metal procurement team.
  • Provide dashboard to track BOM consumption of inputs is in line with plan/S&OP and adequate inventory of RM/SI at each location including tollers
  • Design and evaluate alternate scenarios for upset conditions leveraging full footprint options
  • Help deploy any new planning tool software
  • Help identify and capture tolling/freight optimization opportunities

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain or related area
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics or related field is preferred
  • Experience in problem solving and developing models in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience in aluminum rolling or scrap manufacturing and/or recycling is strongly preferred
  • Desire to take initiative and develop a dedicated relationship with internal customers
  • Strong understanding of statistics, relational database design and query tools, Data Lake & Data mining concepts.
  • Working knowledge of different data sources (DAP, NNA DW, SAP-BW, SAP) and ability to extract and build logical metadata relationships.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python and Jupiter Notebook
  • Superior analytical and pc skills, including sophisticated ability in Power BI and Excel
  • Strong digital literacy with software applications proficiency, including Microsoft Office products and working with ERP and Inventory Management systems like SAP, APO, O9.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to communicate with all levels in the organization
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload, perform work accurately and independently
  • Agile and adaptable to work in a complex environment
