Operates thermal spray. Prepares, masks, and applies metal spray coatings to rebuild parts. Able to perform all aspects of metal spray, including combustion, wire arc and thermal spray functions. Performs equipment maintenance, job quotes, sets up machines. Reads prints and drawings. Performs machine inspection. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
