Nova Medical Centers is Hiring a Procurement Specialist Near Houston, TX

Overview

Procurement Specialist

Nova Medical Centers began as a single facility formed 28 years ago in Texas, to provide the highest level of healthcare to patients suffering from musculoskeletal injuries. Currently, Nova treats more than 40,000 injuries and sees more than a million patient visits in 12 months. Nova operates over 60 occupational medicine facilities across Georgia, Indiana, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. Nova Medical Centers successfully operates outpatient acute injury care clinics in an Occupational Medicine setting. Services include minor work injury care, NO chronic pain management! We offer a fully integrated EMR system with complete automation that provides the Medical Director with the opportunity to focus on delivering high quality patient care with minimal administrative duties required of the provider. Successful candidates come from various medical backgrounds including UC, ED, FP, ER, IM or Ortho.

This is an on-site position based out of Houston, Texas (M-F: 8am. – 5pm). Reports to the VP of Accounting & Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure client satisfaction throughout the procurement & coordination process.
  • Acts as a direct procurement contact for internal clients and cross functional teams.
  • Build vendor relationships to secure the best prices on products for the company.
  • Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors.
  • Build and manage an equipment procurement schedule.
  • Track inventory and restock goods when needed.
  • Ensure all procurement & coordination planning activities are performed in a manner consistent with documented processes.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and new products.
  • Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing.

Qualifications

  • Contract management/negotiation
  • Supplier Relationship Management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Understanding of service industries and/or professional services
  • Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing experience.
  • Financial Acuity and skills
  • Problem-solving skills.

Requirements -

  • 1-3 years of procurement and vendor relationship experience
  • Healthcare experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics or Supply Management a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification a plus
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
