JOB SUMMARY:

Under general direction, the Global VP Sales is a top-line growth focused individual leading all commercial aspects for a global business segment. This position clearly supports and connects a broader business vision and strategy into a segment vision, articulating and developing strategies and processes to lead their commercial team. Tactically, the role is responsible for executing all sales plans for the segment, including product line management analysis, engaging with customers and supporting the closing of business with the team, & developing and engaging their people. Key accountabilities include delivering/exceeding targeted results for bookings and margins throughout the core business, new innovations and services in a process honoring and team first environment. This role will collaboratively work across our commercial organization, connect to key Operations team members, support and deploy initiatives, align decisions with customer segmentation and business expectations, and ensure a global view is considered both internal and externally regarding markets. Customer interactions, including connecting to senior level management, focusing on uncovering unmet needs, identifying & positioning to win new business, and developing deep customer relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Commercial Segment Leadership:

· Build and champion a compelling global segment strategy, aligning with other segment leads, and driving to a customer focused culture.

· Champion all global segment commercial activities for Aftermarket and Field Services sales.

· Drive a holistic segment opportunity pipeline supporting growth targets over a 3-5 year time horizon.

· Responsible for the segment sales growth targets (bookings, revenue, and margins) and collaborating within the organization to increase enterprise profitability.

· Develop a segment specific marketing strategy, market mapping/analysis, continuous competitive intelligence updates, champion customer segmentation methodology, clear pricing strategies and helping define/articulate value propositions through total cost of ownership calculations, TCO’s.

· Formulating long-term objectives, metrics, and standards of performance for their team.

· Works through reporting managers and Human Resources to continually improve employee engagement.

· Key contributor and partner on company’s strategy and growth goals.

· Evaluate, check, prepare and execute potential acquisitions and product line or service extensions.

· Supporting the development of a long-term innovation pipeline.

Customer Facing

· As needed, act as a strategic lead/executive sponsor deepening strategic customer relationships.

· Manage & organize global resources to accelerate response time to customers.

· Establishing an effective communication path throughout the internal organization and outward to the customer/market.

· Working with appropriate internal teams to finalize contracts, including legal counsel.

· Resolving problems with customers, products/projects, and service.

Team Development & Tactical Commercial Management

· Drive for a high performing, innovative, process honoring, and customer focused team and culture.

· Collaborating with the other functions, such as finance, operations, engineering & supply chain to deliver a benchmark customer experience.

· Hiring, on-boarding of new employees with coaching & continuous development of next generation leaders.

· Tactical planning and prep work to position successful sales team interactions with our customers, including key advantages and value added discussions with inclusion of TCO methodology.

· Maximize our product lines by leading Technical Sales Managers/Application Managers to evaluate current product offerings, new innovations, and working through our S&OP Innovation process to advance.

· Strategic Account Planning Coordination, monitoring, and management.

· Support development and execution of Sales Processes and Principles

· Champion our S&OP processes – Innovation/Demand/Capacity meetings and Innovation Go-To-Market work launching new innovations and solutions.

· The position will assess and establish the talent and team requirements to grow the business. The rate of growth and investment in people will be determined by the success of generating new business, revenue, and margin. There is a strong re-investment focus.

· Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

· Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical field.

· MBA preferred

· 10 years in a Leadership role, Product Line Management, Commercial or Sales management role.

Deep experience in the Oilseeds market preferred.

· Demonstrated experience thriving within a sales focused culture, strategic account management, team

management.

· Global business experience in sales, project execution, or customer management.

· Skilled in interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and influencing communication both internally and

externally

· Highly competitive desire to succeed & win.

· High integrity and ethics.

· Entrepreneurial spirit.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Effective at problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

· Outcome focused with the ability to manage competing priorities and work well under pressure.

· Previous experience managing, leading, and developing talent in a team first environment is a plus.

· Natural business acumen, strong commercial competencies and the ability to maintain high-level

customer relationships.

· Well-developed sales and presentation skills.

· Customer relationship management, CRM experience.

· Experience managing a P&L & understanding of management principles.

· Must be able to communicate in English fluently. Ability to communicate in a second language –

European or Asian languages preferred but not required.

· Ability to travel international or domestically approximately 50% of the time.
