NOVA Engineering and Environmental is Hiring an ICC Special Inspector Near Norcross, GA

Established in 1996, NOVA was originally founded to provide Environmental Consulting, Geotechnical Engineering, and Construction Materials Testing and Inspection services to the design and construction community, largely in the southeastern United States. NOVA Engineering is seeking ICC Special Inspectors located in Norcross, GA. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Primary duties performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.). Some travel is required. The position will be predominately field located.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
  • Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met
  • Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
  • Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
  • Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
  • Input results and observations into daily reports

Requirements:

  • 2 years construction materials testing and inspection experience is required
  • ICC Certifications (1 or more are required): Reinforced Concrete, Soils, Welding, Structural Steel and Bolting, Masonry
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to pass a background check and MVR report
