Nova Biomedical is Hiring a Planar Sensor Dispense Operator II - First Shift Near Waltham, MA

Nova Biomedical is hiring a Planar Sensor Dispense Operator II on the First Shift (6:00 A.M - 2:30 P.M. or 7:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.) in our Waltham, MA facility. This person is responsible for performing medium to high complexity assembly operations to produce a variety of planar-based biosensor for core analyzers. Under general supervision, this person will also perform complex assembly operations to product prototypes and pilots for engineering as required. Must have the ability to work independently and efficiently and have a strong attention to detail.

Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities Include:

  • Ability to work with various epoxies, solvents and chemicals as required during assembly
  • Requires a high level of attention to detail through all aspects of the assembly process
  • Must have the ability to work under a microscope for extended time periods
  • Must be able to operate all process equipment but not limited to, auto dispensers, pipettes, laser cutters, electroplating equipment
  • Ability to understand assembly procedures, drawings, verbal instructions and related documentation to assemble various product
  • Must have ability to communicate issues clearly to management and engineering
  • Other functions may include prepping sensor cards, assembling sensor cards, UV epoxying, and packaging.
  • Person must be versatile and able to work alternately in a seated or standing position

Qualifications:

  • Good math skills
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail

Skills and Competencies:

  • Planar Sensor Assembler I skills
  • QSR/ISO Regulations
  • AP, TP, OI and OP training are a plus

Education/Experience:

  • High School/Trade School diploma
  • Three (3) years in a manufacturing environment or Planar Sensor Assembler I qualifications for a minimum of One (1) year
