Nour Day Support is Hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Near Richmond, VA
Nour Day Support is looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our dynamic team. The DSP is responsible for the overall daily care, activity, and safety of the people we serve at Nour Day Support. The DSP provides support, care, and adheres to the Individual Service Plan (ISP) of each individual with intellectual disabilities, giving them the tools for self-advocacy to live independently and with dignity. The job duties require representing Nour Day Support in a professional and productive manner. This includes being respectful to coworkers and supervisor(s), being prepared for work each day, being productive in the workplace, and attending to work-related matters while complying with deadlines.
The DSP is also responsible for feeding and assisting and changing individuals as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- One or more years of related experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Background check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Caregiving: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Certified Medication Aide (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Required)
