```Duties```
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Document and report any changes in behavior or health status to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals to promote their independence and community integration
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
```Requirements```
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining confidentiality
- Familiarity with nursing home, assisted living, day supports or similar healthcare settings
- Basic knowledge of vital signs and first aid procedures
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and compassion towards individuals with diverse needs
- Understanding of clients rights and the ability to advocate for individuals' rights and choices
Note: A nursing degree or certification is not required for this position but can be helpful.
