JOB DESCRIPTION

Northwest Mississippi Community College’s Workforce Solutions and Career-Technical Education Division is looking for a full-time 12-Month Workforce Solutions Trainer to provide quality technical training across the College’s 11 district counties. The candidate should have extensive manufacturing experience and requisite credentials depending on subject matter.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate and/or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of three to five years’ experience in manufacturing or related field and experience training adults in an industrial or post-secondary environment preferred.
  • Must be able to deliver industrial maintenance training to include electrical safety, electrical, motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation and control systems, robotics, and PLC.
  • Must have skills and background to deliver high performance manufacturing training.
  • Must be able to deliver industrial safety training to include electrical safety, lift truck, and general industrial safety topics.
  • OSHA authorized general industry outreach trainer preferred or willing to obtain OHSA outreach credential.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication, judgment/problem-solving and human relations skills are essential.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Must be able to work without close supervision.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct training programs in business and industry.
  • Travel is required to business and industry sites across Northwest’s 11 county service area.
  • Promote and market Mississippi's Workforce Education Program to business and industry.
  • Develop curricula for programs and administer assessments.
  • Assist with the collection, review, and submission of all forms and reports to the proper agencies relative to the programs.
  • Assist in the selection and procurement of instructional supplies and equipment for training and assessment programs.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the Director of Workforce Solutions and Community Services.
