Mental Health Counselor

(Non-Licensed Masters Level QMHP ...or... a Licensed LPC, LMFT, or LCSW)

YOUR ROLE at NWHS:

As one of our highly qualified Mental health Counselors, you will provide trauma-informed, compassionate, and professional mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups across a broad range of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. You will assess the nature and extent of Mental Health challenges and Co-Occurring Disorders, and formulate a service plan that addresses each individual’s challenges.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, and/or other degree in a related mental health field
  • Eligibility for QMHP credentialing is required
  • Successful completion of graduate coursework in theory, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders
  • Professional experience working with persons who have mental health issues and/or are in emotional distress
  • Demonstrable proficiency using DSM IV-TR, DSM V, and ICD-10

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of Oregon is preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
