POSITIONS: School Social Worker (part or full-time position)
QUALIFICATIONS: - Social work or counseling degree/license
-Ability to put plans of care in place for students
-Strong working knowledge of adolescent development and mental health
-Must possess strong behavioral background with emphasis on creating and
Implementing behavior plans
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with
students, peers, and parents
- Collaborate with peers to enhance the development of the middle
school students
-Understanding the need to connect with parents offering them support
-Recognize and respond to individual differences in middle school students’
Emotional and social needs
-Familiarity with outside agencies that offer services for students
JOB DESCRIPTION: - Supporting middle school students in grades 6-7-8
-Provide individual and group support for students with
emotional, social, and behavioral needs
-Build relationships with students and families to proactively with
support middle school students
-Assist in planning and monitoring pf school-wide positive behavior support
-Engage in middle school teams focused on climate and programming
-Helping to develop and implement programs focusing on soft skills and
personal development of the middle school student
WHEN: Assignment would begin with the 2023-2024 school year.
