Senior Cost Accountant - Spartanburg, SC

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Spartanburg, SC. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely cost accounting, as well as providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close activities related to cost accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely product costing
• Develop and maintain cost standards and ensure compliance with internal controls and GAAP
• Monitor and analyze production costs, inventory levels, and manufacturing expenses
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including cost performance metrics and profitability analysis
• Provide guidance and support to the operations team in improving cost efficiency and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• CPA or CMA certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting or related field
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
