Northland Workforce Training Center (NWTC) is seeking an experienced, professional, and customer focused individual to provide career coaching, case management and arrange for wraparound services for NWTC enrollees to ensure completion of training engagement and successful achievement of employment with opportunities for career advancement.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to: Manager of Student Support Services

Coordinates with: NWTC Admissions, Career Coaches, SUNY Erie and Alfred State faculty, staff, students, parents, and adults directly and indirectly associated with NWTC programming.

Essential Functions

• Deliver case management/wraparound services to NWTC enrollees including needs assessment, planning, resource development/referral, advocacy, plan monitoring, and case closure upon achievement of targeted outcomes.
• Entry of prompt, accurate, and comprehensive data into data management tracking system, including participant demographic, outcome, case note, and service data.

Specific Duties

• Complete comprehensive needs assessment for every student in the advanced manufacturing or energy career training programs.
• Based on assessment, develop and execute student success plans including the coordination of all necessary support services needed for individual students to achieve their educational and employment goals, including tutoring, transportation, access to stable housing, alleviation of food scarcity, domestic violence services, accessibility to childcare resources, mental health/substance abuse services, medical/dental/vison resources, and assistance for veterans.
• Coordinate of transportation services, including the distribution of Metro passes.
• Complete required enrollment processes as related to returning students including completion of financial aid verification (if required), processing of student bills, registration for classes, purchase of textbooks, purchase of tools and/or consumables, and completion of returning student Northland Grants.
• Arrange necessary resources to be provided to returning students from Northland Lending Library and Tool Chest and ensure distribution and collection of these resources.
• Provide post-placement retention services including quarterly follow-up meetings with the graduates for the three years of employment to monitor job retention, and annual assessment of job satisfaction/performance.
• Facilitate application process and distribution of Northland Emergency Support Fund based on set criteria.
• Identify, develop, and sustain ongoing relationships with community resources including coordination with local community and faith-based organizations, public agencies, educational and training providers, and other partners to assist trainees with accessing a wide range of supportive services.
• Provide supervision and wraparound services for the Northland Summer Youth Academy students.
• Perform such duties as the supervisor may assign.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,458.40 per year
