Northland Controls is seeking an embedded System Analyst in Austin, TX.
The mission of the System Analyst is to provide support by troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-level access control, video system, and database applications while maintaining and executing Northland Standards to Northland clients. This is an on-site position.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experienced in access control system programming.
- Familiar with access control system hardware and its operations.
- Good understanding of computer systems and IT networking structure.
- Candidates for this position must have a strong security systems background & working knowledge of variety of Physical Access Control & CCTV Systems
- Strong organizational & clear communication skills are required.
- Individuals in this position must be self-motivated and forward-thinking, looking for new and better solutions.
- They must demonstrate a strong multitasking ability to manage multiple different tasks.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
DUTIES
Essential duties of the position include:
- Support client's Global Physical Security Operational Center Technology and Systems 24/7.
- Support client's Global Physical Security Systems and Technology throughout the Americas 24/7.
- Provide basic systems administration support for our various access control systems (Software House’s CCure and Lenel’s OnGuard).
- Provide Basic Quantum Secure S.A.F.E System level 1 technical support.
- Provide CCTV and NVR systems level 1 technical support.
- Complete root-cause investigations for alarms and events.
- Work on overall nuisance alarm reduction program.
- Conduct routine systems health check on all systems.
- Assist in running ad-hoc custom reports from the ACSs as necessary.
- Have a good working knowledge of electrical, electronic systems & basic troubleshooting.
- Hardware/Software level 1 technical support.
- Assist remote field engineers/technicians in their troubleshooting efforts, opening & tracking service tickets & managing escalation process.
SKILLS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to actively listen and problem-solve.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Working knowledge of enterprise-level security systems such as Lenel OnGuard and Software House C*Cure is extremely desirable.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating system, word processing & Excel spreadsheet skills are required.
Travel may be required for certifications. Outside of certification training, travel is negligible.
Must be authorized to work in the US and have reliable transportation.
