Peak Performers is actively seeking a seasoned Systems Analyst to perform complex database and application review work, gather application requirements and system and data flow through reverse engineering and developing comprehensive technical documentation of the existing application and provide recommendations for the future enhancement for the application.
The work will involve reviewing and discovering the application and database design, user data flow, functional requirements, user cases and requirements, data validation rules and other related business and data processes. This task also involves extensive review of MS SQL codes including stored procedures.
Major duties:

• Performs gap analysis to guide determinations of data needs not being met by the current application and help improving data reporting and develops a business case outlining the cost-benefit analysis for enhancing/upgrading the existing application and developing a new application
• Provides answers to questions from the business team regarding data flow, data validation and post data processing processes
• Helps develop and revise the current MS SQL Server Reporting Services reports and stored procedures
• Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives
• Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system

What are we looking for
A minimum of 8 years:

• Experience working to understand the limitations and capabilities of computer systems and of the techniques used in the design of automated computer systems
• Experience with relational database management systems, including Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience troubleshooting computer systems and scheduling, testing, installing, and implementing computer programs
• Experience in requirements gathering, analysis, system specifications, and verification
• Experience with software development life cycle and development life cycle concepts

Preferred Qualities:

• At least one of the following certifications: Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA, or Six Sigma

About this position

• Rate (DOE): $72.50 – $97.00 per hour
• Length of engagement: 2/1/2024 through 2/3/2025 with extension
• Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM unless otherwise coordinated, 40 hours per week
• Location: Austin, TX, Candidates must be local to Texas
