Description

We are seeking a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our Substance Use Disorder Services team. The general purpose of this position is to provide co-occurring substance abuse counseling services.

Essential Functions include:

  • Conduct screening and intake assessments for new clients
  • Conduct treatment planning
  • Provide counseling (group, individual & family) to clients
  • Provide case management services as needed such as resource planning, community referrals, etc.
  • Provide crisis intervention to clients as needed
  • Provide education to clients 
  • Consult with other professionals regarding client treatment and services; work as part of a collaborative team!

Qualifications include:

  • Active LADC license in the State of MN with no restrictions
  • Ability to document competence in screening for and working with mental health problems through a 12-hour education/training program and experience
  • Must be free from problematic substance use for a period of no less than 2 years and be willing to sign attestation
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid
