Position Definition :
Involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of research data. Designs and conducts research including selecting data samples, developing research instruments, analyzing collected information according to established statistical methods, and developing recommendations based on research findings. Prepares reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret and communicate data and results.
Essential Functions:

• Plans long-term statistical studies, including the preparation of proposals, design of survey instruments and determining sampling procedures.
• Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes the collection of information and data; recommends statistical approaches, trends, sources and uses.
• Prepares data for presentation.
• Identifies multivariate strategies.
• Prepares reports of studies for internal validation and cross validation studies.
• Analyzes the interrelationships of data and defines logical aspects of data sets.
• Develops systems for organizing data to analyze, identify and report trends.
• Manages database of research data for projects.
• Reviews new software instruments and potential effects on statistical testing. May make programming modifications.
• Participates in development and implementation of data security policies and procedures.
• Keeps abreast of technical advances in storage, documentation and dissemination of computerized data.
• Implements related business processes.
• May supervise data entry, database management and research analysis of students, support staff and / or lower level analysts.

Job Requirements:

• Master's Degree or PhD in an associated field
• Preferred: 2-3 Years of experience
• Good organizational and computer skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Working Conditions/Environment:
The work environment for this position will include an indoor office and a medical research environment. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, temperature variations, etc. The incumbent may sustain posture in standing or seated position and may utilize a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time.
The base salary range for this position is $56.59 - $102.93 per hour. The base salary actually offered to a successful candidate will take into account various relevant and non-discriminatory business factors including, without limitation, the candidate's geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, and skills, and education, as well as internal equity considerations. A successful candidate may also be eligible to earn additional compensation including bonuses.
