Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting with medical administrative tasks. Responsibilities:

- Perform basic life support procedures, including CPR and first aid, as needed

- Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, collecting medical history, and preparing patients for examinations

- Assist healthcare providers with various procedures.

- Administer medications under the supervision of a healthcare professional

- Perform medical administrative support tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records.

- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies

- Assist with patient education by providing information on medications, treatments, and preventive measures

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred

- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient service

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Requirements:

- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification

- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs

- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers

-Must have the ability to travel to our 5 other locations if coverage is needed.
