Requirements:

• HS Diploma
• Medical Assistant experience

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Performs and records initial patient screening
• Escorts patients to examination rooms
• Provides patient education with regards to office policies, medications, management of disease, home treatments, special diet, and pacemaker/ ICD home transmissions
• Prepares patient for examination and performs routine screening tests
• Assists the physician with exams and in-office procedures when necessary
• Uses CPR skills when required
• Performs specialty specific tests such as EKGs
• Order and apply cardiac monitors for patients and provide education
• Maintain clinic exam rooms and other supplies and equipment
• Employs professional telephone and interpersonal communication techniques
• Performs accurate, legal and ethical documentation at all times
• Complies with performance improvement practices

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Establishes, organizes, scans, files and maintains medical records
• Handle telephone messages and triages calls
• Schedule procedures and obtain necessary insurance authorization
• Contact patients in regards to pacemaker/ICD home transmission results and issues
• Act as a liaison for patient issues
• Interacts with providers, insurances and billing company
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
