We are a full scope, well established private optometry practice and optical gallery with 3 to 4 doctors regularly staffed. We are looking for an energetic, positive, team member to greet our patients and understand and be able to explain insurance benefits to our patients. This person will also perform administrative duties behind the scenes. Must be poised, a self starter and have a mature work ethic.

We need someone who can work well in a team setting and has the following abilities:

• Good time management skills
• Enjoys working with the public
• Excellent communication skills
• A pleasant phone voice
• Able to answer phone calls and work a 6-line phone system
• Check patients in, as well as bill them out
• Quick learner on new software platforms
• Must have the behavioral sensitivity, maturity, diplomacy and tact in addressing complex situations and handling irate customers
• Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity
• Must have basic familiarity on federal and state laws and requirements relating to healthcare management
• Any insurance knowledge is appreciated

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
