As a Staff Accountant you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. This person will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial information for multiple properties.
Position Information: Full-time, Salary 55,000-70,000.

Essential Duties as a Staff Accountant:
- Generate monthly financial statement package for multiple locations and entities.
- Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries.
- Prepare and post month-end close journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Review and reconcile the general ledger, identifying and thoroughly investigating any discrepancies and taking the proper actions to resolve them.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and complete the monthly reconciliation workbook.
- Prepare fixed asset addition schedules.
- Prepare and files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Compliance reporting for loans.
- Prepare and provide documentation for annual tax return. Work with CPA to resolve questions.
- Assist in annual budget and forecasting process.
Additional Responsibilities as a Staff Accountant:
- Understand and adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Conduct self in a professional manner.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
- Keep work neat and organized.
- Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications as a Staff Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of three years related experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Working knowledge of Sage 100 and Yardi Breeze Premier preferred.

- Receive and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Work well under pressure.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Pay close attention to details in correspondence, reports and daily organizations.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
Physical Requirements:
- 6-8 hours: Sitting, Standing/Walking
- 3-6 hours: Grasping, Reaching
- Up to 1 hour: Climbing Stairs, Crouching/Bending/Stooping, Lifting/Carrying (up to 20 lbs.), Pushing/Pulling
