Essential Duties as a Hospitality Staff Accountant:

• Generate monthly financial statement package for multiple locations and entities.
• Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries.
• Prepare and post month-end close journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Review and reconcile the general ledger, identifying and thoroughly investigating any discrepancies and taking the proper actions to resolve them.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and complete the monthly reconciliation workbook.
• Prepare fixed asset addition schedules.
• Prepare and files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
• Compliance reporting for loans.
• Prepare and provide documentation for annual tax return. Work with CPA to resolve questions.
• Assist in annual budget and forecasting process.

• Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
• Keep work neat and organized.
• Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications as a Hospitality Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of three years related experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Working knowledge of Sage 100 and Yardi Breeze Premier preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• 6-8 hours: Sitting, Standing/Walking
• 3-6 hours: Grasping, Reaching
• Up to 1 hour: Climbing Stairs, Crouching/Bending/Stooping, Lifting/Carrying (up to 20 lbs.), Pushing/Pulling
