Our hotel is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Operations to support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for delivering exceptional guest service and maximizing profitability.
Position Information: Full-Time, Salary range 65,000-70,000.
Essential Functions for Director of Operations:
Assist the General Manager in daily operations and act as manager in their absence
Oversee and provide guidance to department managers in rooms, food & beverage, etc.
Inspire team loyalty and focus on maximizing profitability across all departments
Assist with hiring, training, counseling and motivating supervisors and managers
Participate in developing and maintaining expense budgets
Regularly solicit guest feedback to ensure satisfaction with services and facilities
Ensure security needs for the property and guests are met
Participate in industry events, employee functions, and guest activities
Conduct daily inspections with attention to detail to uphold quality standards
Train department managers to deliver high performance
Conduct timely performance evaluations
Implement reports, controls and strategic plans in coordination with management company
Develop programs to increase guest and employee satisfaction
Support managers in executing procedures, standards and daily operations
Communicate results and strategic alignment with property owners
Ensure property and inventories are well-maintained
Enforce compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations
Proactively reduce accidents, workers' comp claims and unemployment costs
Address and resolve guest service challenges
Qualifications for Director of Operations:
5 years of hotel/hospitality management experience preferred; degree a plus
Proficient with MS Office suite - Word, Excel, etc.
Knowledge of hotel operations and interdepartmental dependencies
Possess any required licenses/certificates for the role
Strong analytical, communication and negotiation abilities
Capable of prioritizing tasks, working under pressure and meeting deadlines
Self-motivated with a professional appearance and manner
