North Oaks Communities LLC is seeking an RN staff nurse for one of the above shifts in a home-like environement where we treat everyone with respect and dignity. The RN Staff Nurse is responsible for the accurate and timely administrations of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls as indicated.
Essential Duties:
1. Consistently administers medications accurately.
2. Administers treatments, including, but not limited to: dressings, catherization, suctioning, oxygen, etc.
3. Assists in direct resident care as necessary. Responds to resident emergency call system as indicated.
4. Maintains accurate documentation of medication administered and care rendered.
5. Maintains the self respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each patient.
6. Assures continuity of services and care.
7. Keeps physician and family aware of change in resident’s condition.
Other Duties:
1. Assists in admission and discharge procedures.
2. Makes rounds with physicians and transcribes orders.
3. Attends in-service training and educations sessions as assigned.
4. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
1. Registered Nurse licensed in good standing by the State of Maryland.
2. At least 6 months licensed nursing experience. Geriatric involvement preferable.
3. Compliance with North Oaks COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccination Policies is required for this position for all North Oaks employees. Please refer to the policy for details. All North Oaks employees may access the Vaccination Policies via their Human Resources representative or Executive Director.
4. CPR Certification.
