Kitchen Production Lead:
The Kitchen Lead will be responsible for everything from hanging bacon to pinning chicken, which includes all whole muscle meat. This position will also cover for any other Leads when they are out, while ensuring safe actions, environmental compliance, and quality production in a Good Manufacturing Practice food-grade operation.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive and log in all raw materials and create lot codes.
Cross train with all Leads to be able to fill in for them when they are out
Ensures and reports that all activities start and operate in the required time and according to established standards.
Assigns and ensures that time logs and SafeFood 360 information are properly completed and reviewed at the end of each shift.
Coordinate and direct maintenance activities regarding any breakage of machinery or parts to be replaced calling in additional resources as needed in the absence of the room manager or following the request of the room manager.
Brine making and entering all the information into Safefood 360.
Come in to work before shift starts to make sure that production can start when employees arrive.
Performs other tasks at the request of the immediate superior
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or G.E.D
Detailed orientated
Prior food processing experience
Good Computer skills

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
Basic mathematical skills in weights, temperatures, times and general numbers
Able to work in a cold/hot environment
Wear clean smock, hair net, bump cap, hearing protection, sleeves, safety boots and gloves always.
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Able to speak effectively, respectfully and professionally to employees of the organization
Able to operate computer and write routine reports and correspondence
Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Follow and promote safe work practices in a team environment
