The Inventory Control Associate will work directly with Shipping Manager regarding stock and will compile inventory information and present it to Shipping Manager. The Inventory Control associate will review the balance of inventory and count the items in stock, and gain an understanding of the programs for shipping, while ensuring safe actions, environmental compliance, and quality production in Good Manufacturing practice food-grade operations. All in compliance with the standards of wholesomeness, hygiene, health & safety at work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Visually check work after completion for cosmetic appearance and noticeable defects

- Maintain necessary records

- Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly, and operable condition

- Assist with cleaning the area at the end of the shift

- Ability to adapt promptly to any change in working condition and to get problems resolved without delay

- Ability to perform effectively even when under work pressure

- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to comprehend written materials easily

- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and get them resolved

- Maintain and updating required inventory levels for goods, products, and materials

- Conducting quality checks on stored inventory to comply with company standards

- Processing and documenting returned items

- Implementing inventory management procedures including cycle counts

- Performing clerical functions such as answering radio calls, entering data into computers, and helping customers

- Monitoring inventory losses and implementing loss-prevention programs

- Preparing relevant reports for Manager/Supervisor

- Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers

- Assist with cleaning shipping area at the end of shift

- Establishes strong team spirit in department by promoting communication and respect

- All other tasks as requested

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or G.E.D

- Relevant experience in warehouse

- Experience with warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.)

- Good computer skills

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Able to work in a cold/hot environment

- Wear bump cap, earmuffs, safety boots

- Able to read and interpret orders

- Able to operate computer

- Follow and promote safe work practices
