North Country Community Mental Health is Hiring a Program assistant Near Petoskey, MI

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education : Associates degree or equivalent experience in behavioral health. Bachelor’s degree in business preferred. Experience : Two years of office experience performing similar job duties.

Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint. Able to maneuver on the Internet to conduct research or obtain information, including EHR and Video Conferencing.

Basic statistical knowledge and ability to interpret and construct reports. Proficient typing, phone, and data recording skills.

Other : Lived experiences with behavioral health issues are valued. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Scheduling, managing calendars and meetings, including but not limited to program director calendars and meetings.
  • Information and referral management through various portals.
  • Distribution of reports to applicable recipients.
  • Access and use external websites for input of reporting data (ie : WSA).
  • Documentation review, formatting, and reporting.
  • Contact with community service providers, contractors, and hospital admission units.
  • Data collection and compilation for programmatic summary reports.
  • Recording, typing, formatting, and distribution of meeting minutes.
  • Maintenance and monitoring of agency and statewide databases.
  • Other specific duties as assigned by program directors.
  • Maintains confidentiality of service recipients in accordance with HIPAA Privacy Laws and 42 C.F.R., Part 2.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Ability to walk, bend, stand, sit, lift up to 25 pounds with or without assistance, stretch / reach, hear, see, hand / finger dexterity, and drive a vehicle.

Position requires physical ability to complete and maintain certification in CPI techniques which will be a training class provided to the job incumbent.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must be current in Adult CPR and First Aid; provided by NCCMH.
  • Complete initial training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI); provided by NCCMH.
  • Have own phone for communication, reliable access to messages, and Multi-Factoring capability.
  • Have reliable transportation in carrying out organization duties.
  • Possess a valid Michigan driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to work within guidelines of the code of conduct, regulatory compliance plan and personnel policies.
  • Supports a philosophy of service delivery that is recovery-based, person centered, and culturally competent.
  • Adhere to applicable policies and procedures as required by MDHHS and other pertinent regulatory agencies.
