This position is for 2nd shift at our TNN1 metal stamping facility in Portland, TN. The hours are 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm.Your success is our success… The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager. This position is to ensure that production equipment is kept in a safe and operable condition to assure efficient production of quality parts and to implement predictive and proactive maintenance systems to avoid costly and unscheduled downtime.What you get in return …This position will pay up to $34.12 per hour, plus a 10.0% per hour shift premium, and be eligible to earn up to $3.00 per hour as a performance bonus based upon your skill level for a max of $39.93/hr. This position is also eligible for a full benefits package including a generous 401K matching program. Experience Requirements:3 years previous experience as a multi-craft maintenance technician is required.Automotive background required. Prior experience working with heavy duty mechanical presses preferred. Skill Requirements:Strong electrical backgroundStrong mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repairTechnical skills necessary in the areas of industrial electricity, PLC controls, hydraulics and pneumaticsGood communication skillsTechnical skills necessary to follow OSHA requirementsPC knowledge and experience Essential Job Functions:Ensures that production and related equipment is ready to meet customer requirements.Troubleshoot problems on production and related equipment. This includes PLC, press controls and weld controls.Work with all employees to continuously improve quality and production.Maintain preventative maintenance schedule for production related equipment.Complete work from project list as assigned by Maintenance ManagerRequisition supplies and spare parts for maintenance areas and keep these areas organized.Maintain a clean work area.Work with outside tradesmen as required.Available for overtime as required.Available for training as required.Suggest methods for improvements, i.e continuous improvement plansEnsure maintenance repair requests are being addressed, resolved, and returned for proper record keeping in a timely manner.Assist in TS 16949 implementation and maintenance as required. Education Requirements:Preferred associate degree related to Industrial MaintenanceHigh School DiplomaPhysical Requirements: Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per day.Must be able to see, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and reach with hands as needed to service equipment.Must be able to pass a drug screen.
