Responsiblities range from assisting with tours, selling, and contracting events that are social and/or trade show in nature, and then detail and then executing said events, with mindfulness to ensure each event hosted at Norris Conference Centers - San Antonio is executed accurately and successfully to the extent that each event exceeds our client’s expectations.

Core responsibilities include supporting special events from proms to weddings, and other events to include but not limited to galas, trade shows, and other “special” events that may be outside of traditional M-F Day Meetings.

Responsibilities also encompass the timely response to client requests and assisting clients in the decision-making process ranging from room setup to appropriate food choices.

The Event Service Manager is in charge of working with our vendors (and our clients vendors) to ensure accurate and timely food orders and deliveries; the preparation of planning charts, and being accountable for all aspects of each event.

Equally important is the upbeat, helpful interaction with each client/participant once they are on-site.

The Event Service Manager will be the Manager on Duty during social, evening, and weekend events.

The schedule is flexible and will include some evenings and weekends. Most weeks, this position will be working a Tuesday - Saturday, but flexibility is schedule is essential for this position.

Excellent computer skills are a must. College degree preferred. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Three to four years of event detailing experience is required.
