The Patient Care Coordinator begins the process for our New Patients completing our on-line intake form. Our expert surgical team is world renowned as patients come from all over to have the best surgeons! Our new state-of-the-art office is located in the Town n' Country area of Tampa.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is an office/administrative position, the Patient Coordinator is responsible for corresponding with the patient to assist them through our intake process. You will be gathering and reviewing all medical records for the required information that is set by our surgeons in order to prepare and complete the patient chart. You will be corresponding with your patient via email and phone throughout the process. You will be communicating through email, e-fax and phone calls with both the patient and their doctors. You will need to adhere to HIPAA and all other company policies and procedures.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

-Will be the initial point of contact for your assigned new patients

-Will handle up to 15-25 new patients weekly

-Will utilize eClinicalWorks and Outlook 365

- Reviewing clinical records for the required data to provide for the surgeons' evaluation

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirements:

Must have worked in a medical office or surgical environment with patient records.

Experience with EMR systems, preferably E-Clinical Works (ECW)

Business Skill Requirements:

-Medical Terminology

-Good verbal/written communication skills

-Must be efficient, organized, and professional while able to function in a fast-paced environment

-Must be able to stay focused on the task at hand and filter distractions

-Must be able to manage change

-Experience with general office equipment, PC, copy machine, fax machine, etc.
