Nor Cal Carpenters Union is Hiring a Desktop Support Analyst Near Oakland, CA

What to Expect

Nor Cal Carpenters is currently seeking a technical Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Oakland, CA. The IT Services position within the IT Operations team will be on the front lines of our IT systems support. As the face of IT, the Desktop Support Technician must have strong technical troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills and be willing to interface with a combination of both technical and non-technical departments. The primary task of this position will be to troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues, install, and support the systems, and assist with the day-to-day operations for our IT infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

  • Supporting senior level executives with tasks such as setting up conference calls, Mac support, and cell phone support
  • Provide onsite and remote support for the organization, responsible for troubleshooting and resolution of computer and mobile device hardware and software issues, telephony, printers, and networking intermediate knowledge of computer applications
  • Working with Backups, Active Directory, Exchange, and Windows server environments
  • Maintaining and working with wireless technologies, LAN, VPN, DSL
  • Create, edit, and improve technical articles and other procedures for systems
  • Working with the team lead, elevated set of permissions to address more challenging work within active directory, office 365
  • Performing in compliance with policy guidelines and within time frames as defined in the team’s SLAs and/or project requirements
  • Ability to establish priorities and manage workload effectively and efficiently

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with desktop support experience
  • Minimum of 1 years of Mac environment experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Windows environment experience
  • AS or BS degree in information technology, computer science, etc. is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills, strong attention to details with excellent follow up is preferred
  • Must be willing to be onsite full-time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
