DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
As a security first organization, Technology Delivery Services (TDS) is part of the Information Technology (IT) Department. The TDS teams include Information Security, Planning (architecture and PMO), Application Development, HR & Payroll Development, Infrastructure, and Client Services teams. We maintain an innovative, inclusive, and supportive work environment.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Infrastructure Applications Support manager and with support of senior level team members, provide Tier 2 support for services managed by the Infrastructure Applications Support team. This includes Box, Email/O365, AWS/Appstream, Citrix and GoAnywhere(SecureShare). Evaluate and document ways to improve services supported by the Infrastructure Applications Support team.
Responsibilities
50%
Work with customers to resolve easy to moderate problems and escalate to senior level team members if needed. Manage the ticket queue and re-assign tickets as needed.

Implements system enhancements, such as software, hardware and network configuration, updates and installations for projects or services with moderate scope.

Technical Expert: Mentor the technical work deliverables of junior team members. Participate in and provide subject matter expertise to other areas as needed. Understand and apply industry practices, community standards and department policies and procedures in depth. Remain current on technology trends. Foster an innovative, inclusive, and supportive work environment.

Design, Integration, and Documentation: Create technical design documents, test plans for applications, prepare time estimates, and develop conversion and/or integration plans and system implementation plans. Review and prepare flow-charting and data analysis for requested customizations for potential inclusion into the existing Oracle Financials ecosystem. Document and execute transformation of the University's financial accounting, planning and budgeting solutions to an Oracle cloud environment. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of related IT experience
  • Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability meet deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of how to apply technologies and systems to meet business needs.
  • Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner.
  • Understanding of system performance monitoring and actions that can be taken to improve or correct performance.
  • Ability to identify and escalate issues to other teams and provide follow through.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how system management actions affect users and dependent / related functions.
  • Demonstrated experience writing and editing scripts of moderate complexity used to perform system maintenance and administration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer security best practices and policies.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and at least three years of relevant work experience or equivalent experience / training.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary: $38.94 - $44.59 hourly commensurate with skills/experience.
