The Nor Cal Carpenters Union is currently seeking an administrative professional to join our team at our Regional Office in Oakland, CA. This is a full-time position for in-person work, and this individual will be working closely beside our Labor Compliance and Research departments to protect the rights and dignity of workers throughout Northern California.
Job Duties:
-Work with local government and agencies to obtain public records, including but not limited to, payroll records
-Prepare letters and notices to local governments and agencies
-Maintain and prepare agendas for various meetings
-Manage California Public Records Act requests
-Maintain information and databases of historical data
-Track upcoming work opportunities and projects
-Maintain project information within internal databases
-Input data from public records into internal databases
Requirements:
-Ability to commute to Oakland five (5) days/week
-Familiarity with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
-Organizational skills including maintaining schedule of items for follow-up at fixed intervals
-Spanish is a plus
-Willingness to work closely with multiple teams and departments, and take on projects for multiple individuals simultaneously
-Must be willing to join Carpenters Union
