SEEKING:
Our ideal candidate is an experienced, high-energy, empowered individual who will proactively provide
constant support and guidance to the Housekeeping team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage the daily activities of the Housekeeping department, including appropriate cleaning of all
offices, guest rooms, washrooms, and all public spaces.
-Manage, test, and assist in developing technological applications to enhance hotel operations.
· Able to efficiently plan, organize, and direct team members to ensure the highest degree of guest
satisfaction.
· Responsible for courteous, efficient responses at all times.
· Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure a more efficient operation.
· Examines the hotel to determine the need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes
recommendations to upper management.
· Attends staff meetings to discuss company policies and guest complaints.
· Establishes standards and procedures for housekeeping staff.
· Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions, and time cards, and prepares periodic
reports.
· Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, and work procedures, and to
demonstrate the use and maintenance of equipment.
· Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.
· Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
· Determines and maintains the department work schedule for all housekeeping staff
· Inspect guest rooms, guest corridors, elevator foyer area, laundry room, restrooms and public areas
· Check vacant rooms, verify status, and update the status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
· Manage Housekeeping inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 1-3 years experience working in a managerial role/housekeeping environment.
· Encourage synergy and teamwork among the team.
· Outstanding organizational and time management processes.
· Exhibits a high level of professionalism in all interactions/situations.
· Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-range goals.
· Reliable and have a sense of urgency.
· Must be able to stand for extended periods.
· Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, and kneel, as needed, throughout the shift.
· Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail.
· Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays.
