SALARY RANGE: $174,545 - $212,458 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)

Nokia of America Corporation, Senior HW Development Engineer (Multiple Positions), Sunnyvale, CA. Execute development and testing of Integrated Circuits (IC's) to achieve a feasible chip design using leading edge silicon technology. Design basic forwarding modules and scripts used for building and compiling design and run simulations. Use programming languages C, C and Python to ensure code compiles with performance and scale targets. Design and deliver software modules within Network Processor Software Development Kits (SDK). Integrate Network Processor Software Development Kit into routing and switching stacks. Validate Network Processing functions at unit, integration, and system levels. Work with Product Management to translate market requirements into Network Processor Software design and implementation. Support Quality Assurance functions to successfully complete qualification of multi-generational networking products. Contribute to continuous evolution of Network Processor architecture and design to meet growing feature set, speeds, feeds, power, and cost requirements. Design integrated circuits in Verilog and create hardware blocks to perform specific functions. Develop silicon chips for high performance IP routers. Assist in the verification of chip design using UVM (Universal Verification Methodology) and SystemVerilog. Develop bespoke testbenches and simulations to check the system's operation. #LI-DNI

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 4 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 4 years of experience with the following: VHDL, Modelsim, DC-NXT, and Primetime; Python, C , C, Tcl, and Perl; Creating standalone models and experiments; Synthesis and floor planning using Synopsys tools; Silicon Chip RTL Design, Development and Design Verification; and Oscilloscopes, and Multi-meter.
