Family Description
Product, Portfolio & Solution Management (PP) covers the provision of input to the complete set of all products / services related to design, production, maintenance, and termination information processes. Ensures the optimal allocation of resources between different products / services and areas of potential improvement to balance the products / services mix and maintain alignment between Nokia's products / services and the overall business strategy. Ensures a successful launch of the products / services in the market applying go-to-market strategy. Translates key market, business and customer needs into products / services and solutions.
Subfamily Description
Product Management (PRM) ensures the management of specific products / services as they progress along their lifecycle with both operational and strategic responsibility. Comprises positioning of the product / service in the respective markets, defined business models, segmentation, and pricing. Contains implementation of strategies set by portfolio management and ensures that products / services are developed or updated accordingly to the portfolio and in close linkage of R&D, technology, and markets (operators, end-users).

* Interprets critical internal or external business issues and develops innovative solutions that help to sustain competitive advantage (EG responsible for a complete lifecycle of a particular Nokia product and thus using comprehensive analyses to collect information required to its professional management).
* Responsible for alignment amongst sales team and customer on key product priorities (EG selling the product roadmap to the customer).
* Defines processes and standards (EG ensuring Nokia products are always up-to-date, competitive and profitable).
* Uses knowledge on how the job contributes to the corporate goals as well as knowledge of industry and competitive landscape to increase own effectiveness (EG understanding customer requirements and market conditions to draw conclusions on how to increase sales by excellence in customer experience and product competitiveness).
* Influences strategic decisions within professional area that affect the performance of the subfunction (EG influencing decisions regarding the conception of a new products).
* Solves highly complex or novel problems based on sophisticated analytical thought and complex judgment.
* Independently develops concepts to set the professional direction of own organisational unit (EG leading end-to-end product lifecycle management activities).
* Acts as a senior subject matter expert, typically at a global or regional level, in many organisational units the most senior internal expert who serves as best practice / quality resource and is an acknowledged authority both within and outside own organisational unit.
* Often leads functional teams or projects with considerable resource requirements, risk, and complexity, handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work.
* Contributes to the effective contribution of key financial KPIs (P&L).

* Define the roadmap of the evolution of the 5G and Next G CORE networks products towards Defense.
* Own and drive the roadmap for the Tactical Core, embedded in the Mobile Networks Banshee product line.
* Understand the application of the Private Wireless Core for Defense, and influence/advocate/interlock any needed changes to the roadmap for that product.
* Understand the competitive environment for the Tactical Core, and use that understanding to drive the product development roadmap.
* Create Market and Feature Requirements to drive Product Development.
* Perform scouting of potential suppliers and their product offerings.
* Interact with customers and suppliers to clarify the benefits and drawbacks of various Tactical Core solutions.
* Provide support to the other departments in Nokia as a 5G CORE Subject Matter Expert.

* 10 years in the Wireless Industry in a 5G Core Network Architecture or Product Management capacity
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills, project management skills, communication (verbal and written) skills, and organizational and documentation skills
* Excellent collaboration and coordination skills to work with a matrixed team from various internal organizations.
* 5G Product development experience or at least good knowledge
* Familiarity with 3GPP Core standardization is a plus
* Understanding of the Defense industry is a plus
* Understanding of the 5G RAN is a plus
* Knowledge of OSS/ BSS is a plus
* Familiarity with 3GPP Core competitive environment is a plus.
* Ability to communicate, both oral and written, on complex technical and sales issues to a variety of audiences, including executive-level technical decision-makers.
* Ability to make and communicate relevant connections between proposed technical solutions and customers' business requirements.

* Proven experience as a Private Networks Solutions Architect or similar role with a strong emphasis on end-to-end network solutions.
* Prior experience in designing solutions for critical infrastructure (utilities, oil & Gas etc.), government entities, education institutions desirable
* Experience working for a system integrator to build solutions utilizing a mix of internal and partner components.
* Proficiency in 4G and 5G technologies, including LTE, NR, and Core Network functions.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Willing to travel for customer meetings and presentations, both domestic and international.
