The Quality Assurance (QA) Field Technician ensures company and customer quality standards are being met. The individual works under the supervision of the QA Manager where they conduct production-related quality tests, perform inspection checks, calibrate equipment, have full responsibility for label control, and communicate test results. This is a production-based job with only 5-10% of time spent in the office/computer work.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
2-year associate degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology or other relevant science concentration or equivalent experience.
TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Working knowledge of GMP and HACCP systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to draft clear and detailed work instructions, documentation, and reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and good documentation skills/practices.
- The ability to handle multiple priorities requires with high degree of accuracy.
TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Available to work occasional overtime when required.
- Available to work Saturdays or Sundays.
Production Support:
- Performs packaging inspections to ensure the accuracy of labels, proper bag sealing, and palletizing operations.
- Maintains label control integrity.
- Performs quality or process control-related projects.
- Performs quality monitoring of various processes.
- Performs shipping inspections/verifications.
- Performs training and updates work instructions.
- Effectively works and communicates with other members of the Quality and Operations teams.
- Advises on procedures to improve production efficiencies.
