Health & Safety
- The auditing program, ensures employee compliance to the company’s safety systems.
- EH&S incident investigation and reporting
- Leads site EH&S training
- Monitors, maintains and develops Company Safety programs.
- Maintains and develops the internal EH&S auditing program
- The main contact for the fire department owns fire protection plan
- Coordinates employee safety & JHSC meetings.
Plant Services
- Manages to build security
- NGU 5S Champion, lead 5S activities
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION REQUIRED
- 4-yearDegree in Industrial Health & Safety is preferred or 5 equivalent experience in the position is required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Safety Standards in a manufacturing environment. 4-year degree or higher will be considered in lieu of experience.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Experience conducting safety audits and inspections, and developing and implementing corrective action plans
- Strong training and communication skills, and experience developing and delivering safety training programs
- Experience investigating incidents and accidents, and developing and implementing preventive measures
- Develop and implement safety programs and initiatives that align with company goals and regulatory requirements
- Identify and assess workplace hazards, and develop and implement measures to control and mitigate risks
- Train employees on safety policies, procedures, and best practices, and promote a safety-first culture throughout the organization
- Manage safety-related documentation, including incident reports, safety data sheets, and training records
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures
- Work with management to develop and manage the safety budget
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, and develop and implement plans to continuously improve safety performance
