The auditing program, ensures employee compliance to the company’s safety systems.
EH&S incident investigation and reporting
Leads site EH&S training
Monitors, maintains and develops Company Safety programs.
Maintains and develops the internal EH&S auditing program
The main contact for the fire department owns fire protection plan
Coordinates employee safety & JHSC meetings.
Plant Services
Manages to build security
NGU 5S Champion, lead 5S activities
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION REQUIRED
4-yearDegree in Industrial Health & Safety is preferred or 5 equivalent experience in the position is required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience with Safety Standards in a manufacturing environment. 4-year degree or higher will be considered in lieu of experience.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations
Experience conducting safety audits and inspections, and developing and implementing corrective action plans
Strong training and communication skills, and experience developing and delivering safety training programs
Experience investigating incidents and accidents, and developing and implementing preventive measures
Develop and implement safety programs and initiatives that align with company goals and regulatory requirements
Identify and assess workplace hazards, and develop and implement measures to control and mitigate risks
Train employees on safety policies, procedures, and best practices, and promote a safety-first culture throughout the organization
Manage safety-related documentation, including incident reports, safety data sheets, and training records
Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures
Work with management to develop and manage the safety budget
Develop and maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders
Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, and develop and implement plans to continuously improve safety performance
