  2. Food Preparation and Execution: Oversee and participate in food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection. Execute complex recipes with precision, maintaining consistency and adhering to high standards of taste, presentation, and portioning.
  3. Kitchen Operations: Ensure smooth kitchen operations by coordinating and supervising the activities of the culinary team. Monitor food inventory levels, supervise ingredient sourcing, and collaborate with vendors to maintain the availability of fresh and high-quality ingredients.
  4. Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to culinary team members, fostering their growth and development. Lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning, ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional culinary experiences.
  5. Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of food stations and final dishes, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Take proactive measures to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
  6. Menu Innovation: Collaborate with the head chef on menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and staying abreast of culinary trends. Offer creative input, contribute to the creation of new dishes, and provide recommendations for menu enhancements to continually elevate the dining experience.
  7. Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration between the culinary team and other departments, such as front-of-house and management. Collaborate closely with the head chef, ensuring efficient coordination of kitchen operations and a seamless dining experience.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a sous chef or in a similar culinary leadership role in a fast-paced, scratch kitchen is preferred.
  • Exceptional culinary skills, demonstrating creativity, innovation, and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities, effectively managing and motivating a team.
