About this Position / Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior project manager to support the PMO of a Washington DC based Healtcare Agency. This self-motivated and passionate individual will assist the team in meeting critical milestones and proactively notifies them of obstacles with solutions to ensure the team's success. They must also be a Champion for change as required while at the same time be able to meet the needs of the business while partnering with leaders in other areas like Operations, Quality and Technical Operations.

This candidate will also be required to maintain high quality and compliance standards, while planning and executing the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of the project portfolio process and drive the integration and alignment for the project management process
  • Accountable and owner of several key PMO processes including management of program scope and schedule, project status reporting, executive leadership reporting, dependency management, issue and risk management, and project communications.
  • Build working relationships at all levels of the organization to partner with and effectively communicate with cross-functional groups as required
  • Foster a climate of open communication, engagement and ownership within the team
  • Accountable for ensuring that deliverables from business and technology partners are produced and approved according to multiple project schedules. This includes requirement documents, functional and technical design documents, test plans, etc.
  • Drives project workstreams, developing, executing, tracking, and monitoring plans, resolving blockers, and ensuring ongoing alignment with program priorities.
  • Works collaboratively with business leaders, project leaders, and impacted external stakeholders, coordinating efforts across those groups to analyze and assess readiness for change.
  • Assures compliance with CMS and FNS requirements
  • Coordinate and communicate stakeholders as needed to set and manage expectations, highlight and resolve issues and ensure an overall excellent experience working with the PMO team
  • Represents project in executive-level presentations in various project governance and inter-departmental meetings.
  • Maintain a project schedule ensuring task specific project schedules are added to the integrated master scheduled.
  • Accountable and responsible that all relevant processes are executed and in compliance for the team and organization
  • Responsible for ensuring all business readiness is implemented including any necessary training and updates to business processes.
  • Ensure clear identification of goals and the benefits to be realized as part of the Project Portfolio commitment to Business goals and objectives
  • Lead periodic reviews of continuous projects portfolio, business benefits realized, key performance indicators and gaps
  • Advanced ability to identify, develop and quantify any required corrective action plans
  • Advanced ability to ensure that effective project controls are in place to monitor project or program performance
  • Ability to work with business partners and program management team on development of LTC practices, policies, guidelines, and operational processes.
  • Effective communication to all levels or the organization, including effectively presenting information and responding to questions or complex inquiries from groups of employees, managers and internal customers, influencing leadership and facilitation skills and working at functional and strategic levels simultaneously
  • Monitor and direct day-to-day operations of the assigned tasks to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed, that contract and client goals and objectives are met, and that services and projects are being accomplished effectively and efficiently.
  • Drives execution discipline across teams ensuring deviations to standards and metric targets have clear action plans and follow-ups
  • Develops project schedules, cross-functional deliverables, and detailed timelines, as well as identifies and manages project priorities and cross-project dependencies
  • Accountable for and leads other project managers on highly complex project

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 4 yrs. Exp. in Healthcare industry specifically into latest health reform laws with any prior state/federal projects-LTC Programs/Healthcare Operations
  • 8 yrs. Experience with implementing scaled or hybrid agile approach
  • 10 yrs. Experience with working across multiple dynamic organizations, driving all stakeholders toward a
  • 10 yrs. Team player, quick responsive, individual contributor, coordinator, adaptive to accept changes in complex environment; Task/Goal driven
  • 12 yrs. Strong analytical skills; Proficient Time-management ability; Detail oriented; Excellent written & verbal communication
  • 12 yrs. Demonstrate critical thinking skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
  • 8 yrs. Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable
  • 10 yrs. Experience in Change Management
  • 10 yrs. Exp. with organizing a diverse team of senior leaders, customers and vendors
  • 10 yrs. Exp. with flexibly adjusting to managing shifting demands and ambiguity, re-prioritization of objectives and mitigating rapid change
  • 12 yrs. Proven professional job experiences demonstrating initiative, competency, professionalism and success through senior project management
  • 10 yrs. Experience working with CVS/SVN, Sciforma, Salesforce, and Jira preferred.
  • 6 yrs. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related Field and PMP Certification
