POSITION OVERVIEW

Mirror Group (MG) is seeking a full-time Project Manager to lead and manage our internal consulting teams and an assigned portfolio of projects. This position will lead new and upcoming evaluation, learning and strategy projects under the direction of the Project Director and/or Director of Consulting. As a Project Manager this person is responsible for all aspects of project and personnel management including accountabilities for project oversight, managing standards, and leading and providing overall team support. A successful candidate will have technical expertise in one or more of our three areas of practice (Evaluation, Learning, and Strategy), plus project management, administration, and implementation/execution experience ideally within a remote, virtual team environment. Remote is defined as U.S. based remote (you must be authorized to work in the U.S. and conducting your work from a U.S. location); with occasional domestic travel (up to 25%).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project & People Management

  • Create and maintain project plans in Asana to ensure projects will be managed successfully in alignment with MG values, ensuring client projects are running on time and on budget
  • Manage and maintain resources on concurrent projects including staff projections, resource allocation, timeline management, and technical work
  • Serve as a client-facing representative on projects
  • Serve as internal team lead to provide project support in addition to subject matter and technical expertise to manage projects
  • Serve as direct manager to a team of R&E consultants, coaching, managing hours, staffing, and performance
  • Inform leadership about the health of projects, including reporting through BOE CORE time and expenses management software and ASANA project management software

Consulting Execution

  • Uphold Mirror Group's values and approach when consulting internal staff and external clients, partners and community.
  • Maintain positive client relationships, including discussions of project progress, upcoming project needs, and deliverables
  • Review all aspects of Mirror Group's approach to Evaluation, Learning, and Strategy as applied to client projects.
  • Review reports, briefings, and deliverables before client receipt.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of relevant culturally responsive and equitable evaluation, learning, and/or strategy project experience working for a foundation, nonprofit, research and evaluation consulting firm, and/or government agency or contractor
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated team-based consulting project management experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge in creating staffing plans, budgets, and forecasting
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, commitment to quality, and fidelity to service
  • Demonstrated writing skills and strong verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and workload
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Proficiency in Gsuite and Asana

NICE TO HAVES

  • Previous work experience in a startup and/or consulting firm
  • While a graduate degree or certificate in a relevant project management field (e.g. PMP) are very helpful, neither are required when candidates can demonstrate significant evidence of equivalent experience and training.

COMPENSATION

This is a full-time salaried position. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $85,000. Benefits include 11 paid holidays, 15 days of paid time off, health insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, wellness resources, and 401k retirement plan and student loan debt repayment.
