nextSource is Hiring a Remote Contract Specialist

nextSource manages large recruitment programs for major universities around the country.

Contract Specialist

Location: Providence, RI (Hybrid/Remote – must attend occasional onsite meetings)

Duration: January 2023 – June 2023

Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Pay Rate: $25.00/hourly

Must be fully vaccinated, including booster shot

Job Description:

The Contract Specialist is responsible for reviewing and approving contract requests for the purchase of goods and services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve contract requests in the Contract Management system.
  • Create approved contract in the Contract Management system, send for internal and external review, and obtain signature through CM/DocuSign.
  • Function as a key resource to the Assistant Director, Contracts, other Strategic Purchasing, Contracts, and Insurance (SPCI) team members and stakeholders throughout the university who are either the requesters or subject matter experts who are consulted as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with university partners.

Qualifications:

  • Must have contract experience, redlining, and aptitude working with document management systems.
  • Proficient with university Contract Management system which is on the Jaggaer total contract management platform; Microsoft Word Review/Redlining/Track Changes tool.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, and ability to see the forest for the trees.
  • Creative, multi-tasker, and adaptive.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Analytical, strategic thinking, problem solving and contract negotiating skills.
  • Backgrounds (prior experience) from a law firm, as a paralegal or legal secretary (desirable).

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Minimum 3 years of contract or paralegal experience (required)
  • Prior experience working in a high-volume, fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of university systems and policies
