JOB SUMMARY
The National Sales Representative is responsible for selling pre-owned equipment offerings to customers across the United States. This outside sales role employs strategic selling techniques to suggest and provide material handling solutions to customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities and establish relationships with potential customers to maximize sales potential.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to meet and exceed sales targets on a regular basis.
  • Foster positive relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Demonstrate resilience and persistence in overcoming sales obstacles and objections to achieve sales quotas.
  • Utilize effective negotiation skills to close sales deals and secure profitable business partnerships.
  • Regularly analyze sales data and trends to identify areas for improvement and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Coordinate shipping orders and develop relationships with freight brokerage providers to ensure proper equipment delivery.
  • Collaborate with sales management to develop sales forecasts and plans to achieve sales quotas.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, progress, and achievements towards sales quotas to sales management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Actively participate in sales training activities and workshops to enhance sales skills and knowledge.
  • Attends weekly and/or monthly team meetings to review department goals and strategies.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE
  • Two or more years of outside sales experience preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers. 
  • Ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Ability to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly quotas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, concise and professional manner.
