JOB SUMMARY
Serves as the crew leader for NexTier Equipment accounts. Responsible for coordinating the activities of the assigned crew. Prioritizes work orders, complies with safety incident reporting, and ensures all paperwork is submitted timely and accurately. Assumes the lead role when communicating with customers and account managers. Maintains company-provided assets, including all work tools and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Prioritizes work orders and coordinates the daily activities of the assigned crew.
•Ensures crew timecards are accurately maintained, and jobs are allocated properly with start and end times.
•Ensures work orders are fully completed with the following: job number, customer information (name and address), equipment (make, model, serial, hour meter), repair story (in the problem/cause/correction format), parts listing, and final customer signature (verifying completion).
•Is responsible for utilizing the Mobile Service application to close the day, fill out work orders, obtain customer signatures, mark jobs as complete, etc.
•Reports to shop consistently to replenish parts and finalize work orders.
•Establishes consistent communication with the customer and informs them of work status, crew changes, and other pertinent account information.
•Provides daily status updates and review any customer issues or concerns with the Operations Manager and fleet manager.
•Leads by example in promoting a safe workplace. Follows the company core safety values and ensures basic safety standards are adhered to by all crew members, including SDS, PPE, JSAs, hot work permits, and customer safety rules.
•Provides support to supervisors by overseeing the duties of designated crew members.
•Report any safety violations or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
•Reports performance of crew members to the Operations Manager.
•Completes all paperwork accurately and timely in accordance with customer and company standards.
•Communicates all ongoing activities at the customer account to applicable sales representatives and Operations Manager.
•Carries out regular shop technician duties, including performing preventive maintenance repairs, maintaining records, and stocking supplies.
•Performs other duties of a similar nature as required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
•High School Diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE
•At least 5 years of mechanical experience, preferably with lift trucks.
•Previous experience with hydraulics and computer diagnostics.
•Previous experience in a supervisory role preferred.
•Ability to interpret and apply schematic diagrams.
