Required Technical skills (Absolutely must have):
1. Software Development for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Python or TypeScript: Engineer will need to create and manage infrastructure components using code.2. Terraform and CloudFormation (CDKTF): Engineer will orchestrate infrastructure provisioning and management.3. Snowflake Object Creation: Engineer will write code to create and manage Snowflake objects.4. Public Cloud Integration: must be able to Deploy Snowflake on a public cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Desired (yet not required) qualifications:
AWS: Candidates must have AWS engineering experience to build environments and deploy applications in AWS Services such as: Lambdas, API Gateway, AMIs, EC2, S3, Kinesis, Event Bridge, Cloudformation, Lambdas SNS.
Data: Experience with algorithms and data structures. Has experience resolving issues with scalability, low latency or receiving real time data retrieval from multiple sources at once.
Knowing the trade-offs between different data storage systems and architectures (data warehouses, SQL vs NoSQL, partitioning, etc.)

Job Description

TEKsystems is seeking for a Software/Cloud Engineer with 4 years of experience in applied Software Engineering principles, 2 year of Python Development, 2 years of AWS Engineering experience to join a Full Stack Engineering team responsible for building new Data Platforms, Architecture & Automation within the Data Products and Platforms (DPP) organization at Disney Parks, Experiences & Products (DPEP).
Responsibilities:
Design and implement reliable, high-throughput, low latency, scalable and well-documented code to tackle sophisticated algorithms and build cloud infrastructures components.
Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and other partners to make proposals across teams on their engineering work and practices.
Design low-level implementation details of software, which data structures, class/function/code organization, etc.
Propose technical implementation approaches which support architectural changes that address scaling and performance problems.
Proactively seek opportunities to reuse or generalize existing services and implementations.
Know the latest technologies and best approaches in data management and software engineering.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to other members of the team.
Conduct code review pull-requests with consistent scrutiny.
