Next Door Eatery in Boulder, CO is where friends meet friends, drinks are flowing, and food is flying out of the kitchen. Its easy, fun, and carefree. No reservations just pop on over and take a seat on the sunny patio or in the funky, eclectic dining room.The Bartender is responsible for preparing and executing, from memory, all classic drinks as well as cocktails on the menu for guests at the bar and in the dining room. Our Bartenders support the team and help to create and maintain an exciting, inviting and progressive environment. This person should be a high-energy, outgoing individual who will help to foster connections with friends, family and the community through service, food and drink. ****Responsibilities****

* Service aspects include guest relations, ability to perform objectives in a timely and efficient manner with a focus on quality, while always maintaining an environment of hospitality.

* Take drink orders from patrons or servers and input all orders into the Companys Point of Sale system (POS). Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes. Mix ingredients for cocktails and serve wine and beer.

* Prioritize hospitality in every guest interaction; this includes creating a rapport with guests and building a network of repeat customers whenever possible.

* Take food orders and serve guests who dine at the bar.

* Excellent communication skills. Demonstrate detailed knowledge of the menu, Next Door On-Demand, inform customers of food preparation details and promote specials. Be able to discuss dietary restrictions and make appropriate recommendations, if needed.

* Process, collect and handle payments. This includes but is not limited to properly and appropriately handling cash throughout the course of the shift. Must be able to run checkouts at the end of the shift per Company policy.

* Responsible for setup, maintenance and operation of the bar including washing, sterilizing and polishing glassware and instruments. Assist with proper opening and closing of the restaurant.

* Sort and remove trash. Clean garbage cans as needed.

* Help unload deliveries and store supplies as needed. Restock supplies throughout the restaurant as needed.

* Assist other servers and staff as needed; model and promote teamwork. Complete and assist with side work whenever possible; this includes but is not limited to ensuring restrooms are tidy, sweeping or mopping floors, cleaning surfaces and ensuring all areas of the restaurant are stocked appropriately.

* Promote and embrace the restaurants community and culture by demonstrating respect, positive energy, dependability, honesty, initiative, an outgoing nature and a pleasant, professional appearance.

* Maintain and assist in companys safety and cleanliness standards and be able to effectively communicate those standards to guests, as needed.

****Qualifications****

* 1-2 years of bartending experience, preferred.

* Must be passionate about hospitality.

* Must have TIPS, or equivalent, certification.

* Superior temperament, adaptable nature and good communication skills.

* Motivated professional with a love for taking care of others.

* Demonstrate integrity in all areas, both personal and professional.

* Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly.

* May be required to work in very warm or cold conditions for an extended period of time.

* The ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

* Must be at least 18 years of age.

* Must be able to serve alcohol.

****Working Conditions****

* Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level.

* Working with hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment as well as operating office equipment.

****Salary****

* $20-$32/hr ($12.32/hr tips)
